Celebrating 75 years as a town awakens our sense of gratitude. It causes us to return
and study our heritage, realizing the contributions which others have made.
Too often we are tempted to accept life as it is and forget those of yesterday whose
wisdom and sacrifices made it possible for us to have the privileges we now enjoy.
Through the years - since 1910 - a number of families have had an active and
continuing part in, and concern for, the town of Bishop and community.
In honor and memory of those who are gone, and in appreciation of those who are
living, this program is gratefully dedicated.
Since it has been the purpose to include names that have been authenticated, and
since memory alone will not serve, it is with regret that there are many omissions.
